Pivoting amethyst seal pendant adorned with three blank faces.
Set in yellow gold 18Kt (hallmark: owl).

Victorian work from the 19th century.

Condition: very slight micro-scratches and oxidation on the gold parts, very slight abrasion and a small shock on the amethyst, natural inclusions in the stone, see photos.

 

The color purple is linked to the hippie decade for these reasons: a symbol of artificial paradise, spirituality, the color of the forehead chakra and reincarnation in Indian symbolism. The 1970s were purple's heyday.
